The start-up social enterprise GatherWell uses the principles of positive psychology to help increase wellbeing
Berkeley, CA, June 4, 2013
The start-up social enterprise GatherWell has just launched Grow for Good, personal experiments to change your life in less than 15 minutes a week. Each experiment is a small step that can lead to big changes individually and collectively, requires no money and takes 15 minutes or less to complete.
Grow for Good makes it easy to consistently apply the principles of positive psychology. “There is a lot of collective understanding of what helps people flourish,” says GatherWell Founder Cynthia Jaggi, “but we don’t necessarily make that actionable in our own lives. Grow for Good is an easy way for anyone to have a richer life and share that with others.” People can share their experiences and check that they completed an action on GatherWell’s website.
Ms. Jaggi, a former Partner at the Management Consulting firm Fitzgerald Analytics, also wants to use Grow for Good to measure the collective impact of each action and create a data set that can increase overall understanding of what helps people feel truly well in modern times.
